Send nominees for Public Notice award

Let us know if you have a story to submit for the 2015 Public Notice Journalism award.

Entries should be news or feature stories that highlight the importance of public notice. Judges give positive weight to the use or linking of the public notice involved when there was one. The award is sponsored by the Public Notice Resource Center.

Stories from 2014 or 2015 are eligible. Editorials are not considered.

Entries may be any time before Feb. 1. If you have published a worthy story, send a link to the Nevada Press Association and we will nominate it to PNRC.

The award – including a $700 prize – will be presented in Washington, DC, on March 17.

PNRC has had two terrific winners so far for this relatively new award.  Please help demonstrate the importance of newsrooms using public notice.
