Congratulations to a couple of new publishers

Congratulations to Gary Cook, an NPA board member who has moved to the Sparks Tribune from the Ely Times, and to Rob Galloway, who has taken over at the Tahoe Daily Tribune after working for the Reno Gazette-Journal.

In Sparks, Cook replaces Kent Lauer, former executive director of NPA. Cook has been publisher in Ely for two years. Both papers are owned by Battle Born Media.

Cook was also at Nevada Magazine as marketing manager from 1988 to 1992.

At South Lake Tahoe, Galloway moves back to the Sierra Nevada Media Group, owned by Swift Communications, after working as a sales manager at the Gazette-Journal. He had previously worked for the Nevada Appeal in Carson City.
