The Public Notice Resource Center has published a new version of its guide to best practices for public notices.

‘Best Practices for Public Notice’ was issued at a recent symposium of the National Newspaper Association.

As the brief guide makes clear, “The purpose of public notice is to prevent official actions from occurring in secret.”
