EPA releases records at 10:30 pm Friday

I guess you could call it standard operating procedure.

When there is bad news, announce it late Friday afternoon.

That’s in the playbook of every sleazy, dishonest flack in the PR universe.

So what does it say about the EPA that it ended its foot-dragging on records about the Animas River spill at 10:30 p.m. Friday?

Does it say the EPA is guilty, embarrassed, incompetent, untrustworthy and toxically bureaucratic?

That’s certainly the message I got.

Oh, and the documents were redacted. So it’s actually worse than we know.
